I have a fairly good memory of going to school, but I have very few memories of my home life as a child. My three siblings remember so many things clearly (even my sister that is eight years younger than me can remember events that I was part of, but I still have no recollection).

Apparently my father was abusive, but I don't remember him as such. Other than that, no one has mentioned any traumatic events that I could possibly be blocking.

It used to be funny that I couldn't remember anything, but I am starting to worry about it. I thought maybe I was blocking those memories because of my father, but if that's the case then why do my sisters remember everything so clearly, and why can't I remember all of the happier times that they all seem to vividly recall?

my ex passed away in a car accident a year and half ago. I was depressed after that for about 5 months or so. Well, i took care of the problem and i wrote a letter telling him goodbye. I've moved on. But every day during that depression i cried, and i'd walk out and put on a happy face when i was around other people. For some reason, i can't really cry for anything, and when i do, i either can't cry or i cry for a few seconds and then i'll stop crying.

the people i supervise in the call center have rules they have to follow...like "call to say you are taking an absence or you will be a no call no show", or "no food at your desk", or "say please and thank you on your calls".

why do i have to tell them and tell them and then write them up?

why can some people not hear the rules?

I need some dropletts of wisdom here. What is it that gets you up in the morning? What is the underlying current in your life that makes everything ok (I don't mean significant others or children but perspectives on life)

(This is for a book. I want to be able to show how an insane person thinks.)

According to a Commons report, approximately 80% of prisoners smoke, as opposed to about a quarter of the general population.

The question, as with crime, is this because of nature or nurture?

Unfortunately, my semester didn't start out very well. My home situation was a disaster and my parents were kicking me out (we finally have resolved this civilly), my labtop crashed, and I had to find and buy a car asap, and find someone to sign my loan. This all happened the 1st wk of school. Well, I had to miss one of my classes and the responsible student that I am...I called the professor to let her know. Mind you, I am a 3.8 gpa student. She seemed to be very understanding...well, the next week came by and I was right on track again w/ school...then, the day before I moved out my dad had a very long talk w/ me until 4:00am, I had clinical the next day (clinical rotations is basically an internship w/ a hospital...I'm a nrsg student...which my prof is in charge of). I was not prepared to the best of my abilities but I told her that I had no excuses and that I'll own up to my mistakes. Now she has been using me as an example to the class. I asked her if we can meet face...

It's ruining my relationships. But I hate certain kinds of sarcasm, I can't help it. I don't know how to desensitize myself from it all. It just hurts my feelings.

I was child molested as a child when i was like about 9 years old. It has never bothered me before. I mean sometimes it has but i have gotten over it. A Couple months ago. I just had thoughts that I was doing something bad to a child, but I feel so bad that I even had that thought. I am not at all attracted to kids but I feel so guilty that I even thought such horrible thoughts. I love kids and wants to have kids of my own. I am just so scared what is wrong with me. I am feeling so guilty how can I think like that. My friends and husband think that I am sitting idle at home and it happened to me when I was small child and I am thinking too much. They say when I get a job I'll be fine. Now it has been a few months since I had thought those thoughts,I feel so bad but i just feel so disgusted with myself, what kind of person am i? I am pretty sure in myself i wud never do something like this but i am feeling so sick with myself how can I even think of it. What should I do?

It can't be everything nor can it be nothing! It can't be physical. I know some of you are going to say it depends on the individual, but I'm talking in general here.

I'm kind of a man-hatter (many many man problems in my past). I'm just sort of getting through the phase, and I've developed an attraction to someone. I don't ever talk to him (except once, he just asked a question). We are both in college, and I want to focus more on a career rather than a man in my life right now. I don't want to be afraid of him right now, but I get really nervous and I want to run away from him sometimes. He sits behind me or across from me in some classes. I don't know if what I'm feeling is normal or what?!

I find that people, males and females alike seem to avoid me. I find that they have a difficult time looking me in the eye when I speak to them and their body language indicates that they appear very uncomfortable. But usually if they get to know me better everything is normal. What am I doing to make these people feel uncomfortable around me?When I look them in the eye, could l possibly look angry. I've never been called ugly and actually alot of women think i'm hot but why can't people look at me?
