How is the psychological behavior of a person affected by the advancing technology that our world has today?

I'm sure there are many affects that today's - as well as yesterday's - technology have on a person. In some ways, it makes us lazier (an example would the the calculator). In other ways, it makes life more interesting (ability to learn via the Internet and talk to others across the world). Still, in other ways it intimidates many. People are afraid of what the governments will do to track us, or afraid of learning a 'new gadget'.

Each individual person is affected differently. Its up to their own physiological make-up on how they are affected.

In many ways: I have given some answers which may have helped many thousands of people, which I certainly would never have accomplished otherwise than by the use of my computer, and that makes me feel much better about myself and my life situation. Many others lives have been affected adversely, too, by cyberbullying, or cyberstalking, for example.
