0My girlfriend bought me a pet cockateil as a pet for christmas, a very touching and expencive gift. I had only had parakeets before and did not know what i was getting into. Since then my bird has picked an extreamly bad habit , namely high picthed screaming that can be heard outside our building! I have found training to try and remidy that behavior but the problem now lies in her. To stop the screaming she hates we both have to ignore the bird some thing she can not do. Often she ends up screaming at him to "shut up"
which just furthers the problem as he takes it as an attencion reward for his poor behavior. What can i suggest for her to do to cool down her firey temper at the bird when he is so hard to ignore?

Whenever I go to any sporting event, to an amusement park, or to see a play (theater),

Just last week I saw a play, and during the intermission, the men's line was somewhat long, but only a few people outside of the door. Plus it moved quickly, and I was able to use the restroom quickly. The women's line was extremely long, wrapped all around the building, and the women were looking at us pissed with jealousy and envy because even the last guy in line was out before women that were even already inside the bathroom.

I also see this when I go to NBA games -- during the halftime the women's line wraps around the building while the men's line is short and fast moving. Same with amusement parks. We use the restroom, wash our hands, face, dry -- and leave. Simple.

So the question is, what exactly are women doing in the restroom that takes them so long? There are people waiting behind you and it would make sense to be considerate of the other women.

At work the manager gave us a dress code and she wants us to wear pastel colors or we are going to wear uniforms. However I work in a hospital with a psychiatric unit. I heard that some psych patients go nuts on certian colors.I rather wear a scrub but I work in an office enviorment.

I have to appear for TOEFL in 7 hours. It is 1 AM now.I dont have my admission ticket yet.
I have been trying to access the website for the past 2 days but , it says "Server under maintainance ". I am unable to login to print my admission ticket.
What should I do?

i was just wonderin what is up with everyone these days? suddenly a lot are turning emo (all my respect). i am 14 and female i live in wales, uk. a lot of my friends and just lots of girls are slitting their wrists (but not deep enough) so they have got red marks running down their inner arm and the back of their hands. i asked a friend why she did it she said "it is fun", another said, "it doesnt hurt, i love doing it", "it relieves the pain and stress from life" and "i hate my life, this is well fun and just feels good"

i thought people did that if they wanted to commit suicide, i dont think any of these girls are brave enough or want to do that, i know life gets stressful sometimes but do you really want to DIE?! and anyway if you did want to die then take a pill or shoot yourself in the head, it is quicker and less painful. (not that i want anyone to do that)

so, Do you SELF-HARM? Do you know people that do?

Masturbation = Jack off/whack off
Oral sex = Bl*wjob
Orgasm = "Came" or climax

Those are just a few of the absurd euphemisms that people use for all things sexual. Why?

Here's an example of what a wife might say to her girl friends when talking about her sex life:

David is alright in bed, but sometimes he can't get it up so it kind of ruins it. But last night, when I slept with him, he did a great job. It's too bad that today I saw him sleeping with another woman, he doesn't know that I saw him, but I did.

Can you count the number of euphemisms in that paragraph? Neither can I.

So, I ask again, why do people purposely create confusion by using phrases that don't make sense? After all, you cannot "sleep with" someone. You had sex with them, you did not sleep with them. So why the unnecessary derivation of words?

Oh and if this is inappropriate, I apologize, I'm not sure if it's okay or not.

I have heard the definitions that label parts of the brain and their role.

But what is really going on?

When I remember my trip to Holland a few years back. I don't just "remember" it. I see a movie play out in my mind. I see the cafes I ate at, the expressions on our waiter's face, the canals in full color, the buildings, the smells, the taste of the food, etc.. How do my neurons generate this interactive movie in my head? How do they store these 3 dimensional scenes?

I keep having this dreams that I get chased by people mostly is always around 3.. But most of the time their old people I mean really old... and im running away from them and is like im carring 500 pounds on me running real slow..
