Wow, I'm surprised to see positive perceptions of men here in the Women's Studies section. Many times the misandrist women here are sexist, evil, and hateful towards men.

A man takes care of his responsibilities. He gives an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. He treats everyone with respect until they prove they don't deserve it. Everything he does, he does with integrity. He protects those that are weaker than he is. He is not afraid to show love.

Being a man has nothing to do with physique, strength, wealth, sexual ability, IQ, occupation, hair or lack of it... it has everything to do with who he is inside. A 13 year old can be a man... and a 50 year old can be a creature with a Y chromosome.

Other than being the opposite of a female?...J/K...
Not exactly sure where you are getting at but if you are thinking in terms of "relationships" and how to make them work, both the man and woman should be able to look over faults or the past, and to help eachother bring out the best in themselves... it isn't about money and sex or what type of job you have either.

In the case of my partner, my man is my best friend, confidant, intellectual equal, lover, companion, and is silly, playful, tender, loving, generous, kind, respectful, fun, and the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I don't care about his education, or money, or position.

Grand-Fathers, Fathers, Husband, Uncles, Brothers, Friends, Co-Workers & Sons. In these roles, they are to be leaders, protectors, providers, compasionate, receivers, and respectful. Fidelity & loyalty would be real awsome too.
