At work the manager gave us a dress code and she wants us to wear pastel colors or we are going to wear uniforms. However I work in a hospital with a psychiatric unit. I heard that some psych patients go nuts on certian colors.I rather wear a scrub but I work in an office enviorment.

Usually quit the opposite the pastels are easier for some patients to look at. Colors have affects on all of us, many, many, tests have been done to prove this. Most times they have found that the "softer" the color the "easier" it is our emotions. So it stands to reason those that have problems with their emotions and controlling their behaviour, benefit from the pastels.

There is a certain color of pink that calms everyone including psychiatric patients. Get online and see if you can find an article on this. Bright red, blue, green are a no no. Wearing non threatening colors like pastels will keep the environment calming as well as pictures and texture.
