Why do people here shout "Grow up" to people - who's points of view they disagree with?

Isn't this actually one of the most childish phrases on the planet (last heard -when I was a kid in the eigthies by spoilt fairly ugly ickle girlies in the classroom) - who have never - to this day actually "grown up" - or if they have, offer no way of life anyone here would wish to "Grow Up" too?

Particularly annoying - when it is followed or preceeded by no arguements, logic or reason - and is just used for the "debater" to just make some kind of irrellevant pointless stupid noise?

Is "grow up" the only arguement left for the Iraq war and the right?

Is this phrase actually supposed to convince people to take up a religion, fight and die for they're county - vote conservative or marry ugly chicks or work for 3dollars a hour?

(as a chap who spent years in the substance misuse industry - a fairly adult and professional area - I still have no idea what the hell it means).

I am a member in social networking sites such as Friendster, Hi5 and Orkut and can't help but admire some guys out there who make the efforts to put some real outlandish pictures and they don't fail to invite their female contacts to come and take a "peek" at their latest accomplishments: one guy was posed next to a Tiger (that was in Thailand and I know it's harmless I've been there) - another was supposed to be on Mt. Everest.

Invariably, there are some guys who would always seem to "try and put their best show" - it seems a bit unnatural to me as if humility and modesty has little value, or is it? Are you really TURNED ON by Guys who display their power and money, no I am not calling a "vulgar display" but a display is a show-off isn't it

of the scary paranormal variety. There are 'cold spots', things fly off shelves for no reason and the light in my baby boys bedroom has blown 7 times in the last month. The electric circuits have all been checked and found to be fine. On one occasion the bulb shattered completly. It is not a pleasent feeling and 'shadows' have been seen walking from room to room by more than one person. Please can someone give me some pointers as to where the best sites or the best books are to research this matter. As soon as you enter my home there is a feeling of distinct unease. I am in the U.K. Serious answers only please. This is affecting my children. Thanks for yor help

The person next door runs his washing machine at night, and loud music the rest of the time. I can not sleep, and don't want to wear ear plugs in case there is a fire. He has denied putting the washing machine on at night. I am at my wits end. How can I sleep or read a book through this?

I've always liked to look forward toward this cause psycology is very fun to read and learn.

But i know there are alot of ways play with people's mind as softening them up and get in your mind and sutff like that.

So i will like if somebody can hook me up with a link that teaches you how to mess with the other dude's mind, not mess him up just get in his mind and stuff like that.

Heck i know alot of people are already born with these skills i have no doubt about it, but i will like to learn and read this stuff as i dont posses this skill yet :) .
