If we never meet these kind of people, why do we feel attracted to them. And why does TV keep pushing images of people's from other countries( they keep putting images of people from Asia for example ) , then we get attracted to them.. and become disillusioned as we find out we can't even meet those people.

And i'm talking especdially about poor people who never travel. Rich people usually travel so they can meet anyone. not just rich people but middle class people still travel. but not me and other poor people

I've been having really bad dreams at least one a week and I will end up sleeping like 8 hours on those nights but when I wake up I feel like I got very little rest. The last one I got (last night) was a school shotting and most of the others ive gotten have been about equally as vilent but this was the first one that i can completly remember and could see people as they died. I am mainly just looking for a way to make them less frequent or less intense, because most the time i wake up sweating feeling as if I am about to scream.

But i'm looking into maybe beginning to go see a counselor. Lately i've just had very negative feelings, and my perspective on life and its issues aren't so great. I dont have anyone that i feel i can really talk to about all my problems and helping me get my head together because of embarrassment (and also, i'm assuming my closest friend is tired of hearing me whine all the time). I'm a 20 year old college student, recently fired, and just moved back home involuntarily (no job, no money to pay rent). Also just had a pregnancy scare, and alot of family, relationship, and self issues. Does anyone know a good source to find a good and affordable counselor? I'd really appreciate it. I'd prefer online, but then again, maybe face to face counseling would be best. whichever. Thanks again in advance.

I'm looking for some introctory, insightful readings in existential psychology.

I know that Rollo May, Viktor Frankl, and Eric Frohmm are some of the main theorists in the area, but I'm looking for specific works that encompass the main ideas -- and, hopefully, something not too long (I'm writing a research paper and don't have a lot of time.)

Do humans still have that animal instinct? If we do, how much of it is present in our lives? How much of it is gone or left unused? What type of people tend to have stronger animal instincts? My doctor has given me a refferal to go talk to somebody to get to the bottom of my anxiety but she thinks I possibly could be bipolar or depressed! I was put on Anti depressants but they really made me 20x worse , so she took my off of them and reffered me to the clinci .... Reading my symptoms what would be your opinion! My symptons include: mood swings, issolating myself away from my friends ( dont go out even with my good friends ), tight chested, wierd rash , Start crying for no reasons, agitated so easily, appitite changes (eating nothing to eating alot) and lastly sleeping habits ( sleeping lots to not sleeping at all ) and lastly I cant make a descision to help myself. Please your help/opinions ... SHould i go see the people to get dianosged by them ??
