But i'm looking into maybe beginning to go see a counselor. Lately i've just had very negative feelings, and my perspective on life and its issues aren't so great. I dont have anyone that i feel i can really talk to about all my problems and helping me get my head together because of embarrassment (and also, i'm assuming my closest friend is tired of hearing me whine all the time). I'm a 20 year old college student, recently fired, and just moved back home involuntarily (no job, no money to pay rent). Also just had a pregnancy scare, and alot of family, relationship, and self issues. Does anyone know a good source to find a good and affordable counselor? I'd really appreciate it. I'd prefer online, but then again, maybe face to face counseling would be best. whichever. Thanks again in advance.

There are great Christian Counselors out there, look on-line. There are teaching tapes or Cd's as well, JOYCE MEYER, she has tons of books as well, go check them out at your public library for free. One book is worth a year of therapy. The tape series, "EMOTIONS RESTORED, by Joyce is great, also the- Bitterness, Resentment, and Unforgivness, series, Me and My Big Mouth series, Beauty For Ashes series, and there's one on Offense that's great as well. The List goes on and on. Look up Joyce Meyer, or Life In The Word. Also," Paula White Ministries," both of these women have leadership books and Cd's as well. But the best of the best is your Bible , Read PROVERBS if you really want to walk in Wisdom, and John for powerful assurance and intimacy with Your heavenly Father, John will tell you all about Him! These are all great, inexpensive sources that compared to a secular Phyic. will cost you pennies on the dollar. Especially if you can find their books at the library!!! Oh, "T.D.Jakes," as well. You may be surprised at how many different books, on different issues, are at your local library. I know I was! You'll see an instant change in you entire attitude, and confidence factor, and most of all you will no longer be co-dependent on other people's approval of you, in order to approve of yourself, you will get the revelation that you already are accepted ,IN THE BELOVED! For this is My Beloved Son in whom I'm Well Pleased, and if your in Him , your loved and approved because you are in Him, and He is in You! It doesn't have anything to do with your mess ups and faults,He already knew you'd mess up, so The Father, sent His Son, to FIX the perfection issue. Your life is hid with God in Christ, by FAITH! He did it all without our help, that's why He's The Spotless Perfect, Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, once and for all!! No charge, no payment due. He made a way where there was no way,to fix the problem, Only One, Way! He did it Himself, God The Father planted His o Only Begotten Son, and Harvested an entire family. It's by grace( His undeserved Favor for us because we are in His Son) now His power is working for us and no longer against us. And through His free gift of Faith as well as the grace, we now begin to grow up into maturity(perfection), in all trust, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. And none of it is because we're so accomplished, but because He accomplished it all for us. And with His free gift of The Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth, we begin to slowly , walk, talk, live, move, and have our being in Him, looking like Him more and more, leaving His imprint in the lives of others and everything we do and touch begins to prosper and be a blessing. Well this is a little taste of whats in store for you, so enjoy the info, and have a Great evening!

You cannot fill an infinite desire with a finite object. Go to a certified counselor who is reputable I am not and nether are most of the people on Yahoo. The internet is a horrible place to look for advice.

I'm more than willing to share you this piece of advice. i know a Counselor who can actually help you beyond your expectations. I've been into several downfalls in my life and some of it actually made me face the ground, pushed me to the limit, that i wanted to give up and just surrender the fight - until this Counselor came. He changed my life forever. this counselor that i know asked nothing in return. he helped me for free. imagine? it's free and He is also willing to help you. most importantly, his service is 24/7. you can talk to Him at any desired time. by the way, his name is Jesus Christ - my Lord, my Savior. he loves you and is more than willing to help you. I'm giving out my word. He is a counselor, a God, a friend, who cares to feel our hurt and is willing to call out to the rain and calm the storm in our lives.

You should check with your college's wellness center. Many have resources available to help students with stress and/or counseling. If they don't offer the source themselves, they should be able to help you find someone in your area.

Well.......I think there might be something that is free or very cheap. But I'm not sure. Search online. You should also just tell someone. Your parents SHOULD help you find a conselor.
