It's hard not to think about dying because we're all heading for it no matter what we do or how long we live. When I think about death, I think about this life and how I spent it and if I would be satisfied with my accomplishments. I also tend to think about being judged before God and what it must feel like to live the afterlife. Perhaps thoughts of death are triggered the most when we hear or see it on the news or have experienced a death of a close one.

I think about it often, because I am taking a class in thanatology (the study of death and dying). It's a difficult field to study! Let me know if you have any questions, I can find you some great books and sources if you'd like.

It is probablty the most mysterious thing to me. I cannot fathom the idea of not having a conscious or unconscious mind, of not having any ideas, thoughts, or "perception" so to speak. I cannnot understand the feeling of not existing completely. I don't believe in God or anything, but I do like the idea of there being an afterlife. It seems almost crazy to think that you just don't exist anymore. For what? Whay the heck were we here then? Some ****** up universe if living is just "that".

Of course, it's going to happen to every single one of us but to sit & contemplate it all day long makes me want to disintegrate some people! Get over it, it's an inevitability so make life good for it's TOO freakin' short :)

i just hope its not to soon and painless and very quick. i usually think about it when i hear about someone dying or read an obituary

well me and my friends always say that we cant imagine me getting old.. like i imagine myself dying at like thirty from getting shot up on the block or heart attack..
i dont think i will die of old age

i think about being 80, in bed and awake, with my life slowly going away, until my heart stops beating.
