If you were self-sufficient, with no need to use money, then no it would have no relevance.
If you had a familly and further education was required etc., if you had to purchase supplies etc., then obviously it would.
To be completely isolated on an island with no contact from the outside world would be the only instance where money, or the accumulation of it, would mean nothing.

If you really were in total isolation from all other human beings what on earth would you need an accumulation of riches for. There is nothing in the world better than giving to someone you love.

Secularism and dogmatic belief thinks it does but the practice cuts off it's nose despite it's face. They are both codependent based. I guess it's all where one decides to put their money altho living a happy balanced life produces a healthier economy not to mention a stronger nation with better values.

People that are not isolated due to mind control spend more money that produce an honest man's pay because they are more active in positive social interaction.

How could, 'we', being mankind, live in isolation. In order to live we would encounter other people. Civilisation as we know it would break down, and we would end up being hunter gatherers again. And even as hunter gatherers, we would no doubt encounter other hunter gatherers on our foraging expeditions with the amount of people that are in the world now.

And no, riches as in the monetary form would serve no useful purpose if we were isolated from one another.

I will add though, that true riches in life are not of the the monetary kind.

The true riches are, health, love, and happiness.

It's hard to say. How isolated are you? Do you just have no friends, or do you never see anybody else? In the first case riches would still be very very nice, but not as enjoyable. In the second case yes, riches would be completely useless

Yeah they would, somewhat not to a level of competition but more on a level of accomplishment.Man's greatest weakness and strongest strength is the fact that he always wants more. In isolation i suppose riches would be irrelevant but the thirst for more would always be there.Hand in hand with curiosity.
