you see the bad habit i have i will call the "al bundy habit" and for those of you who watched married with children probably know what "al habit" i am talking about. Yes the one where he puts his hand in his pants when he sits. unfortuntely i have that same problem and find myself doing it a lot. im not being perverted about it or anything its just a comfortable place to put my hand and thats all. however its not a sitiation that you should do in public because its not approriate. so my question is why do i do this and is there any reason that i would do it. is this a bad habit i never grew out of , like some people who suck their thumbs into adulthood. is there a psychological or medical explanation for this. or is it just a comfortable pose for me that although looks inapporiate is really nothin to be concerned with at all.

I know many people who think they oppose it but in fact only oppose their strawman (or strawwoman, whatever) idea of feminism.

As far as I know, a feminist just says, "Dude, we want equal rights. If men can do something women can't, let women do it. If women can do something men can't, let men do it."

I keep hearing crap about how feminists want to destroy families. Where is that coming from, and how can I succinctly sum up the feminist movement to give someone a basic, factual understanding?

The dream began with me standing in the backyard of my house with all of my friends and family. We were all having a wonderful time, when I noticed four girls I had never seen before sneaking into my house, walking up to my room, and stealing the necklace my parents had given my for my sixteenth birthday, and my favorite pair of jeans. I then ran around frantically trying to find two of my friends to tell them about the robbery, and because I felt as though I needed to watch a movie with them. As desperate as I was, I could not find them.

Is it me or does this drive others nutzz? When i drive through a drive thru and give the person my money, the person working always hands me the bills first then they pile the change on top of the bills. I don't know how many times i have dropped the change because they just pile it on the bill(s). If i happen to drop some change they look at me as to say. "what do you want me to do about it" This is irritating as hell and really grinds my gears. Anyone else???

I know that men are generally better at spatial thinking and women are generally better at things like writing, but is there proof that one gender is smarter than the other?

I'd like some sources that aren't general experience.

I hear it is healthy for people to properly develop their secondary functions (mine would be Extroverted Intuition). My question is, what are some examples of extroverting intuition? What activities can I partake in to train myself? Can you point me to some resources please?

I am going to stay at my grandparents house this week. I have terrible anxiety and I am scared that I will get really nervous. I have a choice whether I go or not, but I really want to overcome my fear. If anyone has any ideas other than deep breathing and that junk so that I dont get scared please share them with me. Thank you so much. Isabel<3

There is this guy I like and we are dating but I had never told him about my feelings towards him. We had been seeing each other for about 8 months now. We never had intimate relationship yet. Anyhow while I was talking to him yesterday, I said to him maybe I should learn to ignore you at times. But I was just kidding . Instead he looked at me and said this " YOU WERE ALWAYS GOOD AT IGNORING ME EVEN WHEN WE WERE KISSING" . I went quiet didn't know what to say. Im still not sure what he meant by that? confused what is her trying to say?

I used to think I was being 'informed' now I am sick to death of all the hype and half of it is only stuff they want to scare us with or make us feel a certain way, it can be manipulative. And... celebrities seem to be making the headlines. Anyone else using that hour for something positive instead?

I'm curious what volunteers experience at a stage hypnotist show. I've heard that there are some pretty bizarre things that happen at some shows or parties. Does anyone have any particularly funny experiences?

i have always been a kind and giving person, and i do not expect much in return, i always get enjoyment from the little things and i maintain an extrememly positive attitude, i am the most helpful person at work, but it seems lately that people have been treating me as though they are taking advantage of me, is it possible to be too helpful and nice, are most people in the world selfish and not willing to help others?

For the better or the worse? Would you become greedy or a philanthropist? Would you give away your money or keep it?

2007-02-19 09:05:01 · 11 answers · asked by Myra G 5 in Gender Studies

I mean, is it really necessary? If we didn't have money, there wouldn't be any poor people or rich people.

Everyone would be equal and it would decrease greed, plus it would also decrease crime dramatically because many people won't have any reason to rob a bank or rob a house for example.
Plus, people could also just go to their local supermarket, get the food they need and go home.

We should work on a new system that's more fair besides money. It's not fair for the people who lost their cash or were born poor. It's just not fair that they can't have, medical care, decent food, a nice home etc etc. because they don't have the money to get it.

I think if there wasn't money, we would live in a more peaceful and healthy world, like I mentioned, less crime, less greed, less poverty, less sick and starving people.

What do you think?

There is a good me, and an evil me. Good me considers others, enjoys making people happy - and that's really the primary me. Evil me enjoys itself regardless of others, and enjoys it when other people suffer misfortune. Evil me tends only to be triggered by certain people or events. Can anyone relate to this?
