when we married my husband made $150 a month-so we had very very little-back in the late 40's-then as years went by we bought the family farm and bought bank stock and today have financial security and yes it did change us,for the better-we contribute to many charities, help our children and grandchildren and people in the community-and that is about the only way it changed us. I doubt there are many it would not change in some way, either for better or worse-be realistic.

I think that anytime your circumstances or environment changes, you must change with it. It's just natural adaptation. So yes, I think money would change any of us, no matter what we say.
Let's assume we're talking about $1 million. For me, I would definitely be changed. I would quit my current job, and donate my time to my daughter's school, so that I could be more involved in her life, and hopefully, be a better mother.
I expect that I would inevitably become disenchanted with friends and family around me who tried to take advantage of me because of my new wealth. I would eventually become more suspicious of people's motives.
However, I would be free to support the causes that are important to me, and would happily do so, and teach my daughter to do the same.
Would I become better or worse? I guess the answer is both, in different ways. But I believe the good effects would outweigh the bad.

Money would change me in the respect, I would be more carefree and less stressful, and enjoy doing more for others that are less fortunate.

I would pay off all my families debts and close friends that have stuck with me through thick and thin...and then I would travel the world...(obviously depending on the amount). :-)
