I was always late for school, as far back as I can remember. Every single day. About five minutes, no matter how hard I try.

Now, as an adult in my 30's, its still happeneing. I've analyzed and tracked how much time it takes to like, brush teeth, dress, feed dog, makeup, hair, etc etc, I've TRIED REALLY HARD - and I just can't do it.

I like my job, I'm not depressed, I'm not defiant, I really want this to stop because I drive like a freak from hell to get there on time every day. Just once I'd love to drive in the right lane and just do the speed limit and cruise like so many people do. I don't think I've ever been in the right lane in my life, it's always farrr left, as fast as I can go because I'm always late!! WHY??

I get frustrated at a little things. I get annoyed when things aren't going/done the way I want them to be. And feel as though sometimes, my body language or tone just hurts people, and I don't do it on purpose. Or maybe I am, I don't know. Odd thing is that I'm a happy person, but I get episodes of irritability. If I chose not to care then i'm obliviously fantastic to be around, but if chose to care, i'm the devil.

Also, I do not understand the holding grudges and the like.

Maybe I'm just whiny or melodramatic, but even though I have a good job as an engineer (rocket scientist, literally), a loving wife, and live a pretty cushy life, I feel like something is missing. I feel that I don't do anything important... anything that matters. My wife says most people don't do anything important or great. Should I just suck it up? Do we just accept our lives or does it make sense to try to make a major change? What should I do?? Hardly anything seems to make me really happy anymore. Suggestions?

I am a Psychology graduate. I am being offered a good paying job in a school for special children. Although interesting, I am little hesitant because my major is Industrial/organization and my training and experience are focused on that field. What are the qualifications I should consider to be able to assess these individual differences effectively?

I am due to take a Personality Test soon. I was asked to choose between the two approaches: Objective or Projective. I am not really that interested on the latter one because my mind often goes blank staring at those pictures, some even abstract ones. Would you please acquaint me with the two approaches. How do they exactly differ and their advantages and disadvantages?

I'm realatively new to this, but I have noted some really snide remarks and answers to certain questions.

I am not going to pin point who I am talking about, but it has to do with country of origin...

Ie. If a question is posed to an aussie, it's usually taken with a laugh. But pose it to an american and they will fire back nastily...

It's a long story but I've flown all over the world and was never scared and then I had a terrible flight with turbulence and in the middle of it, we descended very fast, downwards. The pilot didn't come on the PA system so I thought we were crashing. I flew a few times after that but it was always horrific for me. I can't breath, my heart races and I just want off the plane, even out the door, if I could. The last time I flew, I had a AZ layover and didn't get back on the plane. It took me a train and 2 rental cars to get back to DC. My question..Is this fixable? Talking to people doesn't work because they can't promise the plane I'm on won't crash. Drugs, No, I'm afraid if I'm out of it when the plane crashes, I won't be able to get off safely. Meditation, No. Nothing works. The thing people don't understand is that *I'm not afraid the plane will crash, when I'm on a plane, in my mind, it is crashing.* I'm just waiting for the impact. I missed my own brother's wedding in CA! Help!

I have a question based on indian novel/friend.
There is this family in Bombay India - the family is rich in general. Earlier the father loved someone else but had to marry another because of pressure.

So, now the father does not care for his own family. He mistreats his son - he does not let him attend any good schools, or develop or grow his talents, or let him get involved with the community, or help him find a career/business/job. Tries to keep his son behind in everything.
The mom is stupid shallow and unstable - a show-off who needs constant attention and always wants to relax and have fun.
She also tries to keep her son down - and keeps creating fights.

Then as the son grows older and starts to earn on his own, the family tries to get as much money out of him - while doing nothing for him, blame him for everything, and finally try to force him to marry someone not his choice.

Can you explain whats going on - based on culture or ego or evil or mental sickness or what?
