Social Science - 18 December 2006

I have an aversion to contact, not really weird creepy or anything I just get a little uncomfortable when anybody hugs me, etc. The weirdest part however is that I really want affection because I never really get it. People are very nice to me but I really long for affection? Is this a phobia? I'd love to be rid of it. All ideas appreciated!

This is going to sound like a strange question but my friend Ed says he is always horny and when he isnt getting in womens panties, he constantly masturbates. I am like so what? He then says sometimes when he drives by the high school and middle school in his neighborhood, he checks out the girls and then goes home and masturbates to them. I'm afraid that I might be schizophrenic. Every time I do something loud (for example, when you take a shower you can't hear anything else but the water or when you dry your hair you can't hear anything but your hair dryer) I hear voices, and when I turn the hair dryer off to make sure the voices were real, they're not. It sort of happens everyday, and I'm sorry if this question is idiotic but does this make me schizo?

Why, sometimes, when you wake up (or at least try to wake yourself up), you can't move for a few minutes?

Last night I had to wake myself from a dream, and other than the fact that it was so hard to wake myself up, I couldn't move for what seemed like 10 minutes. Why does that happen? Could it be the remnants of coming out of REM sleep?

I have a terrible time opening up emotionally to anyone. I've come to the realization that I have serious trust issues, but I do not know where the issues come from. I tend to be willing to talk with people when asked direct questions, but I can never initiate conversations about myself.

How do I open up? How would I initiate such conversations with people?

Here is my symptoms can you see if you can figure out my problem? I failed my freshman year in high school, I got to college and I said I was not going to make the same mistake. Got there and sort of took advantage of my freedom. I barely went to class because I never really learned I usually would have to take the book and learn it on my own. I would wait to the last minute to do stuff because I liked the adrenaline rush and simply because the material would be fresh on my mind if I were to study like a day before the test. But doing it this way caused me to fail even though I felt confident that I wouldnt. And when I try to start studying early I never can because it bores me and I usually wind up doing something else. I try to change but I can't. I need any help I can get to change this because I don't want to be a failure and let my family down.

Most people know that one of the charistics of BPD is telling lie's. I believe my X-wife suffers from this. Besides the HUGE anger fits, yelling screaming and causing general chaos for everyone is her lying..I mean OUTRAGOUS lie's that are easily discovered. She has accuuses my daughter of drug dealing and even being a lesbian, she has claimed that I have beat her numerous times, my question is:

Do People who suffer (as my x-wife does) from BPD know they they lie?

I've recently noticed that I am procrastinating more and more each week, especially in homework and such. The assignments just build up and build up so much that once I do find reason to actually begin them, i'm near dispair. Does anyone have some tips for persuading myself to stop procrastinating?
