I almost never dream about people I know personally or who exist in real life, and my dreams are almost entirely based on experiencing different vast, intricate and beautiful environments which are sometimes containing minor people or characters which are made up, depending on events in the dream. I remember every dream I have, and I’ve only dreamt of a real-life person twice in the last four months, and on both occassions it has been of Tom Waits, the musician.
My friend tells me that her dreams are entirely people-centered, especially people she knows, and her surroundings play a very small role. From what I’ve heard, most people dream of those they know. Why, then, are my dreams void of familiar faces?
