therefore if one has smiled a lot those muscles hold up - if not then one is stuck in frown mode. So.....why don/t people smile more often?

I'm not a frowner but at age 60 it doesn't matter. The muscles aren't holding up. I usually smile around people but now when I'm not smiling or frowning I don't look like I'm a happy person. Such is life.

smiling happens most when we are happy, if their not smiling they may be thinking of something seriously or they may be unhappy at that moment.
