Once you've turned out the lights and get into bed before sleep, don't you sense a weird presence in the darkness? Maybe its cuz I've experienced a few too many night terrors....but how can I get over it?

I've tried sleeping without the night-light, but i just can't handle it for more than a few seconds. I become overwhelmed with anxiety and the sense of another person....you know that feeling when someone is standing right behind you. I only get this feeling when I'm by myself...I feel more comfortable in the dark when someone's with me. Is this possibly just my twisted imagination playing tricks with my senses? Please help, I need to start saving electricity! and the dark scares me to death =(

yes and those weird blue luminous eyes staring at you isn't it freaky.iv'e gotta' get rid of that damn mirror.go with it you may have sort of a sick sense and it may someday save your life.dont laugh i'm fair dinkum.the other thing is instead of letting your brain go into panic mode (which almost all ppl do subconciously)beat it the punch and think of a reasonable explanation first.sounds easy?you have a split second.
Or maybe it might be the sinsinella?(spelling?)

You fear the dark, and it gives you negative imagination.
Seek professional help.
You have a few choices to choose from:

1) Seek medical help
2) Share a room with somebody whom you know
3) Sleep wth the lights on...??? ( You mention that you want to save electricity , rite..)
4) Relate this problem , to your close ones, maybe they can give better solutions
Try to seek help fast, ok

I sure hope not but I feel safer when I have someone with me. My ex-fiance often stays with his elderly parents for a week at a time to take care of them. His mother has Alzheimer's. One night he woke up because he sensed someone was in the room & it was his mother. She was standing in the doorway and when he woke up she asked him, "Who are you?" She did that frequently & each time he woke up.
