why not? that's good money to do something that millions of people do anyway and still live long, satisfying lives. I have to say that I would.

I've been a non-smoker my whole life and have never been compelled by peer pressure to start the habit. I have, however, been curious enough to discover the 'joys' of smoking that I tried it for a few days, only to end up sputtering and coughing after the first puff! But I soldiered on, and after almost a week I gleefully discarded whatever cigarettes I had left and vowed never, ever to try that again.

Guess I've answered your question. I would never start smoking, even if you paid me money. I know of at least one person who smokes like a chimney, yet appears to be as strong as an ox and is into his 60's. I've seen enough pictures of damaged lungs, brain, and all the other internal organs to put me off smoking for life.

Interesting question. There are some who will do anything for money, I guess.

I'm a reformed smoker. I quit cigarettes about 2 years ago. Used to smoke DuMauriers. I quit because I couldn't breathe for some reason.

Hypothetically. If some one offers to buy you a sever beating and pays you a dollar every time you get another one, would you accept that. Get real.

No, I would not start smoking. Why? Because it smells bad, makes your teeth yellow, gives you wrinkles around the mouth and generally causes that unattractive hacking cough sound.

Yuck.
