I was studying when I was struck by this question. Why do paramecium eat? Do they "feel" hunger? Do they eat because they "know" they have to in order to survive (i. e. intelligence)?

i saw a programme on ABC2 this afternoon about New Guinea and this particular bird caught my attention. it is black and iridescent blue. I tried to look it up on the web and the closest seems to be the male Victoria's Riflebird. But I am sure the bird I saw has a bigger and more prominent iridescent blue patch.

can anyone enlighten me? thanks

Yeah, a lot of them do fly south for the winter, but some don't. For example, there are some annoying pigeons who hang around the roof across the street. Temperatures have been well below freezing, with wicked wind chill, for the past couple of weeks!

You know when a dolphin kind of stands in the water and jumps backwards squeaking? Well, can it touch its side fins together when it does that?
