Penguins have glands in their bills that help rid the body of excess salt. These glands work so well, that penguins can drink saltwater without making them ill.

So to answer your question, the answer is no. They can lower salt intake but not completely turn salt water to fresh water.

I would seriously doubt it. Cold water absorbs less salt than warm water, but I think Penguins get their water from their food.
