The first human genome (gene map) took $3 Billion to complete and 7 years. James D. Watson, the co-discoverer of the structure of DNA, was recently presented with his own genome map. The cost of doing his was a little under $1 Million, and took about two months. At this rate, when will a genome map be "affordable" for the average person based on the current rate of progression towards getting a faster cheaper genome map?

I am 13 years old and for the last 3-4 months i have been having neck pains. They usually start in the evening in the lower parts of my neck but sometimes they occur in the day also. When i am in bed my neck pain is at its worst. I can hardly turn onto my side because when i do the other side starts to ache and i have to turn back again. Eg. the lower ride side of my neck aches, i turn onto my right side, then the left side aches causing me to turn back. So at night all i am doing is tossing and turning and as a result of this i am losing a lot of sleep.

When i am on right side i have to put my left shoulder up to prevent the left side of my neck aching and vise versa.

My GP has referred me to the Paedeatrician (sorry if i spelled that wrong). She also suggested to me to go to the optician to have see if i need glasses and i went but the optician said my eyes were fine.

I am going on holiday in July and I do not want the pains to occur there. Someone please help me!

Thanks

A Possible Presentation...?
Hello! I was wondering if you guys could help me with
ideas for a presentation. I'm a sophomore and I'm taking
AP classes, and as you know (if you're taking them) they
are kind of difficult. My teacher will give us extra credit to
raise our grade if we create a presentation where the
students will learn something new.

My friend and I are doing a presentation on Blood pressure,
we are going to teach them how to take the blood pressure and also take and let them take someone elses blood pressure, but the problem is that that won't take 45 minutes.
Our presentation has to be ATLEAST 45 minutes long, so if
any of you have ideas that would take that long please, PLEASE share. Thank you so much!
