Basically, we can't live without exercise. If you lay in bed long enough, all your muscles will turn to jelly, and you won't be able to get out of bed.
Exercise keeps the muscles strong and helps our bodies work efficiently. The heart is a muscle and is also strengthened by exercise. A strong heart pumps blood more efficiently, and gets more oxygen to all the cells of the body, helping all the organs to function effectively and efficiently.
Exercise also helps prevent hardening of the arteries, and plaque buildup which leads to heart disease and stroke.
Exercise helps control the appetite, helps the digestive system work better, prevents fat buildup, helps you sleep better, gives you more energy, and generally makes you feel good and look good. It is practically guaranteed to make you live longer.

Try it.
