but in this situation u can differ which is red,green, yellow and other major color...if it was very similar,it will be difficult.. can i be a doctor

Color-blind people certainly can and do pursue medicine as a profession. As someone mentioned, they may have difficulties in certain fields (pathology, radiology, and nuclear medicine come to mind), but there are probably ways around that. The one field that *may* not be possible is ophthalmology: to even be considered for a ophthalmology residency one has to pass a vision exam and demonstrate the ability to see in stereo. I *think* color vision is also required, but I'm not entirely certain. That leaves lots and lots of medical specialties, comprising the bulk of the medical profession.

yes u may face problems as red appears grey to a colour blind person

now u can imagine any person in a medicinal profession has to deal with human blood now u can imagine what will happen if u cant even distinguish the blood from other things

For primary color blind people blood looks green . That`s the problem. Minor color blindness cases nan manage but they also go wrong in reading histology slides.

Go ahead with medicine studies: colour blindness would not be a problem at all!

I've had a few of my teachers claim they were colour blind. My current chem teacher also says that he dreams in black and white, too.
