I don't know how to set-up the problem, nor the procedures for it. The problem is:

Mark invested $6000 at 6% per year. How much money should she invest at 8% per year so that the annual income from the two investments is 7%?

Trying to figure out this joke posted about 10 minutes ago. Want to post at work, but have to have the equations.

**So you want a day off. Let's take a look at what you are asking for. There are 365 days per year available for work. There are 52 weeks per year in which you already have 2 days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work.**

I got this far:
(52 weeks x 2 days off =104 days) (365 days – 104 days OFF = 261 available)

**Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available.**

•Where did that # come from?

**You spend 30 minutes each day on coffee break which counts for 23 days each year, leaving only 68 days available**

•Can't figure that either

**With a 1 hour lunch each day, you used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work.**

•Or that

Any help would be great!

Thanks
