ok, I need some help with my math homework. At the top, it says analyzing the graph of a function. Then it says for the graph f(x) below, find the indicated information. And it shows a graph with seven points on it.

and it says a) find f(0)
b) find f(2)
c) find f(-6)

so, can you tell me how to find f? Is it just a point on the x axis? Any help would be great.

A portable CD player uses a current of 6.8 mA at a potential difference of 3 V. (a) How much energy does the player use in 41 minutes? (b) Suppose the player has a mass of 0.65 kg. How many minutes should the player operate on so that the energy can lift the CD player through a height of 1m?
(a) Energy consumed in 41 minutes is J.
(b) The time for the CD player is minutes.

i'm so damn stuck..

1. Fe(s) + CuSO4(aq) --> Cu(s) + FeSO4(aq)
What mass of copper would be obtained if 1.0 kg of scrap iron was added to enough copper sulfate to react all the iron?

2. What mass of iron is produced by reacting 25g of zinc with excess iron (III) oxide according to the equation:
Fe2O3(s) + 3Zn (s) --> 3ZnO + 2Fe(s)

3. Hydrogen burns in oxygen to produce water.
(a) write a balanced equation for this reaction
(b) calculate the mass of oxygen required to react with 10.0 g
of hydrogen.

I have a friend who is an astrophysist at a major university and he has presented what are two opinions in the science community. One being it is and will be within the next two generations, the other being likely never. I would like to hear some other opinions from other physists and methematicians just out of curiousity.

I need help on using limits to determine the behavior of the function at any discontinuity. I also need to use limits to determine the end behavior and to sketch the graph. How do I find the discontinuities, intercepts, and asymptotes of these questions?

1. f(x) = (x^3+2x^2-35x) / (x^2-x-20)
2. f(x) = (-x-3) / (2x^2+x-15)

I first factored everything. However, like #1, I got stuck after finding out that -4 was an asymptote. How should I come about finding these requirements of the problems?

Thank you!

Hey, I just got multiplying part of the polynomials, and now dividing is confusing me! I don't know how to go about this. Any ideas?

One

{(12m^2n^5)/(m+5)}/{(3m^3n)/(m^2-25)}

Two

{(n^2-n-12)/(2n^2-15n+18)}/{(3n^2-12n)/(2n^3-9n^2)}

Three

{(17mn^3)/(m^2+2m-35)}/{(34m^8n^4)/(m^2+7m)}

Four

{(16-2m)/(m^2+2m-24)}/{(m-8)/(3m+18)}

If anyone can help me on how to do these it will be great! I need advice and pointers, and then i can do the rest! There are 20 of these!!

I don't know why Y! Answers cuts the equations off, but here's the link with the questions:

http://oregonstate.edu/~patelu/scan0004.jpg

Help on any one of these will be great.
