Where is it?
If the planet had life there should be an abundance of evidence.
Take earth for example there is harldly a square inch of planet surface that is devoid of some life of some sort.
If life was was die out today and you came back in 500 million years you would find a wealth of evidence that life existed at one time.
Accept the fact there is no life on Mars no matter how much you wish to will it to be and how closely you search.
Wishful thinking.

Starting from a pillar, you run 220 m east (the +x direction) at an average speed of 4.0 m/s, and then run 280 m west at an average speed of 8.0 m/s to a post.

Calculate your average velocity from pillar to post

I already tried taking the diferance in the distance covered and the differance in time covered and I got -3 m/s.. which is wrong.. But what I did was i diveded 220/4 to get 55 seconds and then 280/8 to get 35 seconds . then I toook the 280-220/35-55 to get -3 m/s but its wrong

and water they need, but set up sunlamps, and have say 3 hours light/3 hours dark to cut the growing season down to 1/4 of what it would ordinarily be...?

Would grain, fruit or vegetables grow faster? Would they be stunted or inedible or not contain the right vitamins and minerals? Could I get a maple tree to produce beautiful autumn leaves all year round...?

I don't have the facilities to do an experiment, so please don't tell me to try it and see.

Anybody ever tried anything like this? PLEASE, NO POT-GROWING STORIES! That's not what this is for. Any links to scientific studies that have actually tried this?

Thanks for all your serious answers!
