When I was a tot, they used to rattle our china and now they don't anymore. What gives?

Todays supersonic planes are built to have a quieter sonic boom, if they have one at all, than they had back in the past.

Perhaps you lived in Oklahoma City in 1964. If so, then it was probably due to these tests:

Basically, there was such a large backlash from the public that the FAA recommended cancellation of all supersonic passenger aircraft.

I believe they made it illegal to reach a supersonic speed because it was effecting the environment or something, not sure why but thats what I heard, and so they don't reach those speeds anymore. At least over land.

Maybe the planes fly higher, maybe the planes are smaller, maybe they're flying subsonic over your house ?

well where do you live? also, the military doesn't preform supersonic flights near residential areas.
