2a(3-4a)=
6a-8a
and..
2x-(3+5x)
6x-10xsquared.
^^ I know I did that one wrong.
Did I do it right?
If I didn't tell me what to fix.

also I am extremely stuck on this one,-(3x+2y-1).

Well, the first one you did correctly. But, you can definitely further simplify that I mean you should be able to do 6a - 8a (just exactly like 6-8).

The second one: 2x - (3 + 5x)
NOTICE THE NEGATIVE/MINUS SIGN

2x - 3 -5x

Now solve from there.

-(3x + 2y - 1)
Factor in the minus/negative sign first:

-3x - 2y +1. They're all different terms/variables so you shouldn't further simplify this. it's great as is.
GOOD LUCK!

Hope this helps.

Mary

2a(3-4a) = 6a -8a^2 you were incorrect with regards to the exponent in the second term

2x-(3 + 5x) = 2x -3 -5x = -3 -3x = -3(1+x)

6x-10 X^2 = 2x(3-5x)

-(3x + 2 y -1) = -3x -2y + 1

look over what I did and understand this. In the first one, you forgot the exponent; understand why

2a(3-4a) = 6a - 8a²

2x-(3+5x) = 2x-3-5x = -3x-3

-(3x+2y-1) = -3x-2y+1

First is all right.

2x-(3+5x) = 2x-3-5x (just change sign in bracket and remove bracket)

-(3x+2y-1) = -3x-2y+1 ( simmilarly)
