12 hours difference should be ok.
There are two types of antihistamines, the first generation ones make you sleepy and the second generation types that dont. What can happen if you take different types which contain the same ingredients is that you double up the amount so you can get more sleepier than with just one dose.
It also reacts with other medications that you may be taking, possibly cancelling out the benefits of those meds.

they wouldn't cancel each other out, you just shouldn't take more than one a day its bad for your immune system. Plus you shouldn't be around your allergen for 24 hours.

depending on what area of the body your using it for, I know that you can use two treatments for conjuctivitis in one day and it is ok, it is always good to talk to your physician first.
