What if one apple has a worm in it; does that make it more valuable or less valuable? What do I get if I try to add one apple and one orange? Two fruits? Well why, then, not start out by saying, "we're going to add this fruit to this fruit"? Why does math ignore quality? It is therefore an incomplete, insufficient science?

a)
find lim x---> +infinity of f(x)
b)
find lim x---> -infinity of f(x)
c)
identify all horizontal asymptotes

all this without using a calculator?

Well the equation is

3(x^3) - x + 1
----------------- divided by
x+3

So, how are we suppose to do this without using a calculator. What exactly does x --> infinity / -infinity mean?

Most importantly, how the heck do we find the horizontal asymptotes of such equation?

The hare and the tortoise are at the starting line together. When the gun goes off, the hare moves off at a constant speed of 15 meters per second. (Ignore the acceleration required to get the animal to this speed.) The tortoise starts more slowly, but accelerates at the rate of 4 meters per second squared. How long will it be before the tortoise passes the hare?

Many years ago I recall reading about cats essentially having their bones broken and stuffing them stylish see through bottles or something. But the cats were still alive. And people were selling them. Basically as pets in a bottle. It was literally the sickest thing I've ever seen. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this or knows a wesbite that talks about this. I believe it was being done in another country- Asian countries. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

The name of the game is to find the time between consecutive instances when the second hand and the minute hand of a clock coincide. This has to be done in relation to angular speed.

I've defined the angular speed of the second hand as:
ω = 2π/60 = π/30

Angular speed of the minute hand has been defined as:
ω = 2π/3600 = π/1800

There seems to be billions of anti-reason, anti-science wackos and bigots of all types on the planet. Wouldn't it be great if people could one day figure out a way to leave those people behind and build a better world elsewhere, even though this is just fantasy now?
