t ln 1.0375 = ln 2
t = ln 2 / ln 1.0375
t = 18.8 ( to 1 decimal place )

Take the log of both sides:
log( (1.0375)^t ) = log(2)

Now use the log rule for powers log(x^n) = n*log(x):
t*log(1.0375) = log(2)

t = log(2) / log(1.0375)
t ≈ 18.8284
