the sky is such an abstract thing. I mean the sky doesnt end until it reaches the earth so. The horizon is defined as the place the sky and ground "meet".

Im in high school and I love science (.....math second) and I love to study and read about atoms and radiation and subatomic particles. So as a career I want to become a nuclear physicist b/c they study the atomic nucleus and all of the interesting features of it. But I may find math a bit fun but when I see the work mathematicians do it kind of scares me b/c I dont understand one bit of it and I just dont have the love for math to go that far into it. And I know Einstein and many other great physicists could do that kind of math. So do physicists have to know math that fluently?

Okay please don't tell me "You needa do your own work" Because I have tried and dont get it!

I'm copying directly from the book.

1. Write a word problem for the numberical expression 3(4 + 3) + 2. Then simplify the expression.

2. Use the digits 1-9 in order. Insert operation signs and grouping symbols to get a value of 100. (I have tried MANY MANY MANY times and can get as close as 98 and 101.)

3. Which set of grouping symbols makes the equation true? 2 X 3 + 5 - 2 X 2 = 12
A.(2 X 3) + 5 - (2 X 2)
B. 2 X [3 + (5 - 2)] X 2
C.2 X [3 + (5 - 2 X 2)]
D.2 X ( 3 X 5) - 2 X 2
