Okay please don't tell me "You needa do your own work" Because I have tried and dont get it!
I'm copying directly from the book.
1. Write a word problem for the numberical expression 3(4 + 3) + 2. Then simplify the expression.
2. Use the digits 1-9 in order. Insert operation signs and grouping symbols to get a value of 100. (I have tried MANY MANY MANY times and can get as close as 98 and 101.)
3. Which set of grouping symbols makes the equation true? 2 X 3 + 5 - 2 X 2 = 12
A.(2 X 3) + 5 - (2 X 2)
B. 2 X [3 + (5 - 2)] X 2
C.2 X [3 + (5 - 2 X 2)]
D.2 X ( 3 X 5) - 2 X 2

Rather than just give you the answers, I'll try to help you through them. That way you can learn.
#1: (the easiest?)
pick anything that occur 3 times and that can have 2 parts or characteristics, like:
days of morning hours and afternoon hours
people with shirts and pants
houses with males and females
Now make a question involving 3 of the (left) items with 4 of the first part and three of the second part.
#2: its a trick question. Work the largest numbers first, then the smaller ones. When you find the solution, write it in a low to high format. (You will get it on the first try.)
#3: do the math for each possible answer... What do you get?
does one of the equal 12?

#3: if you think all are wrong, double check your work. If you are sure, just write 'none' and SHOW YOUR WORK. It will show incentive and teachers make mistakes too.

You should get some tutoring.
There are 6 groups of people. 3 groups have 4 people each and 3 groups have 3 people each. Then, 2 more people arrive. How many people are there total?
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9... okay, wait. I don't see why you need to do this, it's pretty dumb

1.......John wants to plant shrubs in his front yard. Under his 3 windows. He likes shrubs that cost 4 dollars, and others that cost 3 dollars. Plus some peat moss to add to the holes he digs will cost 2 dollars.
How much will he spend to put two different shrubs under all windows and add peat moss?
3 (4+3) +2 = ?
(3 x 7) + 2 = ?
21 + 2 = 23 dollars.

(1+2+3+4+5) 6 - 7 +8+9 = 100
3. None of those choices, but this one works:
2 (3+5) - (2x2) = 12 which is a small change to choice D.
I think you have misscopied D from your book to this question, because in D, the + has changed to a X. Double check your original, please?

2. 1 +2+3+4+5+6+7+ (8x9)...simplified, this is 28 plus 72...which equals 100.
3. Since you explained that you misscopied choice D, then the answer is (revised) D: 2x(3+5) - (2x2).
4. Yes, area is length times width.

Here is the first one:
Triplets Jack, Jill, and Jimmy-Bob are selecting fruit to go into a gift basket for their grandmother. Each choses four of their favorite red fruits and three of their favorite orange fruits. While wrapping the basket their mother adds two yellow bananas. How many fruits were in the final gift basket?
3(4+3)+2 = 3(4) + 3(3) + 2 = 12+9+2 = 23

1. You're mixing ingredients together for a recipe. You need 4 oz. of milk and 3 ounces of water for each serving and you want to make 3 servings. Then you want to add 2 ounces of sugar - regardless of how many servings you're making. What's the smallest container size you need to mix this recipe? Write an expression for this.
Answer: 3(4+3)+2 This equals 23 oz.
2. 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8x9=100 (* are another symbol for multiplication, often used on computers - my bad!). :)
3. 2x3+5-2x2=12
A. (2x3)+5-(2x2)=7
B. 2x[3+(5-2)]x2=24
C. 2x[3+(5-2x2)]=8
D. 2x(3x5)-2x2=26 <---- It has to be 2x(3+5)-2x2 That = 12
The book has an error. :)
