I think it's somewhere under the ornithology section.

When a bird hatchling hatches out, they identify the first living thing they see as their mother. Some cases like chickens and ducks happen to have this trait, and that is the factor they often follow their mother around. I also saw some videos previously, where there are ducks and hens mistakenly identify the barn caretaker as their mother as soon as they hatched, and often follow the barn caretaker almost everywhere, except being locked at the coop.

I remember it somehow started with the word "photo- ?" but forgot the remaining last pronunciation for this. Can anyone help me on this term definition and the name of it? Thank you.

(Please do not answer that you do not know if you really don't know about it.)

40 blue, 40 red, 20 green. 60 of these are large. What's the probability of choosing 3 large, blue, without replacement?

I can do this if there aren't large and small. If they are all the same size, the answer is 6.1% chance for 3 blue.

How do you factor in the 60 large?

Thanks!

I know that:

(a-b)(a-b)=a^2-2ab+b^2

For example, by substituting a=3 and b=1:

(3-1)(3-1)=4

or

3^2-2*3*1+1^2=9-6+1=4

I know they are equal but...

What I want to ask is that in the first place, how do people know we need to use the 3 in the first bracket to multiply the 3 in the second bracket and then use the 3 in the first bracket again to multiply the -1 in the second bracket and so on.

Thank you.

I don't really want a job in a zoo or like a vet or a pet store. Zoologist or marine biologist would be really awesome but they don't pay much and they are not very much hands on work just mostly watching the animals. What could i do?

A small vehicle of mass 640 kg is powered by a battery-driven electric motor. The total frictional resistance to motion is 200 N. The car moves up incline at a steady speed of 2.0 m/s.

(There is a diagram provided whereby a right angle triangle is drawn. And the vertical height is 10 m and the hypotenuse is 160 m.)

Calculate

(a) The total work done in bringing the car to the top.

(b) The power the motor must develop to propel the car up the incline.
