My town turns brown and gets a gross cloudy haze every afternoon because of a fire miles and miles away. and then everything gets covered in a very fine coat of ash. But it only starts in the afternoon, and the fire's been burning for weeks. what is it about the night and morning that keeps the ash and smoke out of my town?

I live in bakersfield ca(the valley aka smog net) and the fire is in santa barbara ca

OK, this is my 9 year old daughter's question. I am not sure if this is a physics question but I can't think what other subject to ask under.

If you blow bubbles using a bought bubble kit and blow them in the rain why do they not burst? Does the rain drop become part of the bubble? Does it pass through? Bounce off? Slide off? Or on that day, did every rain drop miss every bubble?

An anxious 9 year old awaits.

This is urgent for a school project. Why? For example Dem. Congo. The population is growing by aprox. 3.39%. Birth rate is 42.9 but death is 10.34. Then it says it's full of poverty etc. So why is the population growing?? Won't babies die if the place isn't fit enough for child birth? I don't get it!!! AND I AM GETTING VERY ANNOYED.
