actually i seen documentary too , but the most reasonable reason i get is that while it appears to have lots of accidents there and such , it happen all over the world too.
imagine this , you haf a 1km by 1km field , and for every 10 kid , 1 kid get lost in it. now it seems that its onli 1 kid loss per 10 kid , seems to be little.
now its 100 km by 100 km field , now if theres 10 kids out of 100 kids lost in it , it sure does seems that alot of kids get lost ( OMG ITS 10 TIMES MORE then the 1km by 1km field )
but reality it isnt , many ships / planes pass there regularly.
all it needs is just some rumours , hoax and you get a myth.
sure strong winds and stuff do cause ships to be lost too etc.

There can be anomalies there that could have caused disappearances, but still nobody knows if this is true.
There could be underwater volcanic eruption, causing ships to sink. The volcanic activity also causes anomalies in the earth magnetic field, which could cause ships and planes to get lost in the days there was no GPS yet. There are also reports of methane/CO2 bubbling up from the ocean floor to the surface. This could be quite disastrous if you're sailing there.
But in the end, for what I've read, there's no statistical evidence more accidents happen in the Bermuda triangle than on any other place on the earth. But if you visit conspiracy theory websites, of course they will tell you all kinds of different stories, even blaming aliens and such.

There are six magnetic loops around the Globe. The Bermuda triangle is really a circle, not a triangle;and it contains one of those circular magnetic loops. The magnetic loops affect bird navigation. However it has very little bearring on Human navigation.
The seas in that area were the talk of piracy in the old days. And there were pirate ships who prayed on commercial ships.
Today with the contraband systems that is taking place in certain areas required transportaion.
So instead preying on the shipping content of ships piracy took a different turn.
It just hijacked planes and pleasure yatchs, change their markings and painted them different colors. It was a convenient way to get transportaion for their illigal contraband. They came back to us with their load and sold it in the US city were poor drug addicts were victimized.

Within the Bermuda Triangle lies a very large underwater UFO base. UFOs have been seen coming into and leaving this area for years. Even Columbus recorded in his ships log of seeing strange glowing objects that would follow his ship, before they would disappear into the waters. Trust me on this.

If you are asking about the dangers of sailing in the Bermuda triangle, I saw a study a couple years ago showing that per sailing vessel, it was no more dangerous than any other place.
