you cant do it man, it would make a paradox. that is, if you go back and save them, when this time advances back to the point you decided to save them, you would not need to. so you would not go back again..... um, you get it? just forget it man, live in the now......life does go on.

Solution: If you build a machine that can go faster then the speed of light and go however many light years away for how many years you can -see- into the past. If you want to see 2 years in the past just go 2 light years away faster then the speed of light and use a telescope to see the earth two years ago.
This happens because the light rays from earth that reflected 2 years ago have no reached you yet if you speed past them.

I have a time machine but it only goes forward in time.
I tried to make it go backwarks but it just wouldnt scan.

its impossible to travel back in time, that was proved by einstein. even if it was its a millenia ahead of our technology.
