Pregnancy - October 2007

Okay so last week I noticed some spotting. It wasn't because of sex, I didn't have sex the day before I noticed spotting. I called my OB and she said it was ok, just my cervix thinning perhaps. This morning I also noticed some pink spotting. I haven't had any contractions yet. I have noticed a little mucus, but it's not blood tinged. (Kinda resembles snot) Will this mean my baby could come any time??

OH and people keep telling me I'm not going to have a big baby, because my stomach isn't that big. However I have gained 40 lbs and my stomach measures accordingly.(37 weeks)

i have messed up my pills about 3 times this month...like skipping a day and taken 2 pills the next day like once a week
(i was on vacation, worked crazy shift work just forgot) then i had a biospy done a week ago and had alot of problems w/ that i bleed for about 2 days pretty good...now im 2 days late on my period im not sure if i should be worryed yet but i kinda am...i go to the dr. 2mor i was gonna ask to take a pregnacy test there but i don't think i want to cuz i want to switch dr.s and im gonna tell them 2mor after they tell me what is going on w/ the biospy
when should i start to worry or take a test?

i am 25 weeks pregnant with a baby boy!! When i was about 8-9 weeks, I went on vacation to San Diego with my mom. Seafood is my favorite, and while we were there, we ate at a yummy resturant right on the ocean :) Anyway, without thinking, I ordered and ate my favorite fish, which is Halibut. I know that it was a long time, but my birthday is tomorrow, and my husband wants to take me out for dinner, and asked if he could take me for seafood.. I told him, that we should just stick with steak, but i am a little concerned about my one time Halibut consumption all those months ago. I just read that Halibut is one of the fish that should be avoided during pregnancy. You think the baby will be ok?? thanks!!

well, guys. I am waiting for Saturday to test, I spotted on CD 36,37 and 38. sore breast, I had Nausea on CD 30 to 34.... I want to be pregnant sooo bad.... do you think that my mind is that powerful that made my period late and light (only spotting)? my cycle always is between 30 to 32 days long.... I am breaking out like crazy!! (my face is never been like this before) what you think?

First, let me say this is a serious question and I would like serious answers only please, I apologize a head of time, if I give to much detail, I am just trying to explain my q, the best I can. I dont know which day I would consider the first day of my period, on Sept 5th, I got light brown/pink spotting, however I only noticed this when I would wipe. This last 2 days, then on the 7th, I got a regular flow, that turns red, where I tampon was needed. My period is like this every month, I always get the light brown/pink spotting, when I a wipe for 2 days before getting a flow. I have heard you people say your first day is the very first day you notice blood, so would my first day be when it was the brown/pink stuff or would it be the day the flow actually started? I want to try to figure this out, b/c my hubby & I have been trying for over a yr & 1/2 to get pregnant and finally have become pregnant, but I dont know which date to give the doctor for when my last period was!

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and this baby is so active it hurts so bad sometimes. My first was never this active, i thought they were meant to slow down when you got closer to giving birth? but mine seems to be getting more active, does this mean i'll be over due?

Im 37weeks pregnant and have eaten alot of fruit, veg and the occasional dose of junk food throughout my pregnancy. What disturbs me was reading today about women with eating disorders who carry this habit on through pregnancy... Making theselves throw up and not eating a healthy diet. One girl was 6months pregnant and surviving on Jaffa Cakes and Lemonade. I cant say alot because iv never had an eating disorder, i felt one of the joys of being pregnant was being able to eat alot...These women are putting their unborn babies at very high risks...The article said that eating disorders whilst pregnant is a growing 'trend'.
I half blame these celebrities who leave hospital in there Skinny Jeans after giving birth, alot of young women feel that this is the way when truely u gain the weight you are supposed to then excersice and work it off after...Breast feeding i heard also helps to loose the weight.
Just wanted other peoples opinion on this topic.

i'm not sure if i'm preg or not. my cousin thinks she is for sure i am preg. but i don't think so. my period is on th 20th of each month. and after my period i started to get breast tenderness,backaches,headaches...frequent urination. i also had one of those vivid dreams. what do you think?

I need some advice on Ectopic pregnancies, all the websites say about it but not in much detail.

Is pain with the above constant and more than a period like pain?

Is it always in the abdomen, or can be in the lower back?

I have had some lower back aches on my left side for a few days but has seemed to have gone with rest, but i have muscle ache in my left shoulder....its not a pain it just feels like ive got a pulled muscle (sleep with a fan on at night!)

NO BLOOD or pain when i wee
I have no cramps today just my dodgy shoulder, my midwife said it doesnt seem to be anything to worry about but i just need someone to kinda put my mind at rest!

I had a car accident in August and my docotor sent to do to an X-ray for my neck and my back. I did not know that I am pregnent and I had about 6 or 8 shots. Now I am going crazy about the baby, we tried to get pregnat for a long time and now I have no idea what will happen.

One of my friends had a abortion about a month ago. This is her 3rd abortion. She will not use protection. It makes me sick and disgusts me. 3 abortions?? Thats just cold hearted. I have a 3 1/2 month old son. He is my life, my joy, my happiness, he is everything to me. I look at him and to think what shes doing just makes me want to vomit. Am I wrong? I cant even talk to her anymore. I want NOTHING to do with her. I dont even ever want to look at her again. She cant understand, neither can anyone else. I mean its just SICK, i cant say it enough. I even believe I was friends with someone like that. She has said, well I dont have to pay for it so I dont care. What is wrong with her?? Anyone else agree?? Would you stick by that person??? I dont understand her nor I never will.

My soon to be mother in law wants to stay at my house for two weeks after the baby is born. She mentioned it months ago and I asked my boyfriend to take care of it, as I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I really want for the baby to get used to me and my boyfriend and his surroundings. She has a way of being really controlling and I've had a few issues with her in the past. One of those people that is "my way or no way," I'm sure you know the type. So, I was talking to her on the phone tonight telling her that I had a few contractions today (37 weeks) and she said "well, I'm going to have to talk to my boss tomorrow about time off." So, I am assuming that this issue hasn't been taken care of. Can I get some advice on how to tell her without her getting upset (which is going to be difficult) that I do not want her here for two weeks? All that it will cause me is added stress.

ive always heard that right after you give birth you are very fertile... Well me and my boyfriend had a baby girl 3 weeks ago and we have unprotected sex the past 2 days. We were supposed to wait 6 weeks after delivery to even have sex but we didnt. Anyways, Im really worried that we are gonna get pregnant again. I cant start my birth control for another week. one of my friends got pregnant from her boyfriend of 3 months. she says they love each other and all that stuff. she really doesnt think he will leave her with the baby, however i know it happens often. i dont want to make her feel bad but i really think she made a bad decision, and she has only been with him for 3 months! she is rich so she says shes wont have a hard time supporting her baby. i dont know if i should tell her that she really ****** up or what. she made a very bad decision, am i right?

Hi I'm about five months pregnant and i have a few friends that are pregnant and no one will hire any of us in for a job but yet we see few pregnant woman working and when we try they say no or that they are just not hiring but yet they really are hiring, thats why I just don't understand people these days are they just to afraid that we will get hurt even if we are only working at the cash register. I have been jobless for almost five months and no matter where I go to get a job no one will hire it seems that people now and days are jsut to picky when it comes to work I think that a job is a job even if I don't like it but thats life when you need money right. I would get a job and if I didn't like it i would find a new one then quit my old one but my question is why are people not hiring in pregnant woman evevn if they can work.

What is the process once you enter the hospital ??(preparation,etc)I know how a csection goes as I've had one before but it was an emergancy csection.
And how do you choose the date?

Is it harder to recover from your second csection as opposed to the first???? Mine was 4 yrs ago.

4. Don't Take Drugs! Taking drugs, except those approved by a doctor who knows you're pregnant, can cause severe disabilities---or even result in the death of your baby.

5. Don't Drink. Hard liquor, wine or beer can all cause birth defects.

I just thought this was something that you needed to know.

One of my children died because I drank a little wine during my pregnancy, he had a birth defect with his heart.
And I didn't see a doctor until I was 5 months along.

I didn't want this to happen to anyone else.

okay heres the deal monday i had my membranes stripped, i bled and had cramping until this morning and now it just went away. my doctor said it would be normal to bleed and cramp and it should speed up the process. Im due sunday. This just irritates me a little bit, it felt like i was making some progression now all my labor symptoms just disappeared. How long did it take anyone else to go into labor after having your membranes swept/stripped?
