ive always heard that right after you give birth you are very fertile... Well me and my boyfriend had a baby girl 3 weeks ago and we have unprotected sex the past 2 days. We were supposed to wait 6 weeks after delivery to even have sex but we didnt. Anyways, Im really worried that we are gonna get pregnant again. I cant start my birth control for another week. Does anyone know anything about how fast you can get pregnant after delivery or have any good website links i can use

It's possible, but unlikely...

You can get pregnant the day you have your child if you are ovulating then. If you are worried about getting pregnant, think about hitting your OBGYN ASAP for a plan b pill. You might not be able to breast feed after taking this pill though. Also, even if it is old school since you are a mother now, wear condoms until you can start taking your regular birth control.

I think you could get pregnant right away, and your body has not fully recovered from the 1st birth. Your partner should give you some space and wait until you can at least take birth control pills or something before you start again. God guy! give her a break!

My aunty gave birth 3 weeks ago as well and our family is very open, she had unprotected sex like a week later and she said it was the best but when she went to the doctor's she asked the same question, TRUST ME i had to hold her hand, all the doctor said was it's like your period every 4 months something happens with the egg, also don't forget you spat out the horrible badder thingy too, look just don't stress, my aunty is still doing it i think it's all good, it would take a couple of weeks to fall preg again

You can get pregnant as soon as you ovulate. But most women don't ovulate for at least a month. But you can get pregnant at anytime. I know a couple that has two kids that are 10 months apart. That would have made her pregnant one month after giving birth.

Wow you sure don't want to give your body a break! I've always heard that while breast feeding it's harder to concieve. I didn't think you cd get pregnant so soon after, but I guess it's possible.

I just don't get it. Don't you want to let your body heal. Sex was the furthest thing from my mind when I had my baby.
