I ask this because I have been experiencing symptoms for about 3 weeks now and I did not even miss my period when I took the test. Or do you think that the more children a woman has, the sooner she will have symptoms?

I am almost 13 weeks pregnant with twins. My symptoms were not that bad at the start. I had nausea, but only vomitted a couple of times. My breasts were tender, a little more than before my period. I had blood work drawn also ( a quantitative hcg) and they were not indicative of more than one baby. Every woman is different, and symptoms are going to be different from woman to woman. My symptoms are worse now than they were at the beginning. It could be possible for you to be pregnant with multiples, the only sure way to know is an ultrasound.

I was pregnant with twins and only had sore nipples around the time my missed period was due , sickness started at 6 weeks sadly lost one at 71/2 weeks but thankfully 15 weeks with healthy twin A. Im on number 4 and all pregnancies are different , im not sure but i dont think you should go by that , everyone is different some double sickness some have none .
good luck :)

My friend had triplets six years ago and now she's pregnant with twins and neither pregnancy was anything alike. Another friend of mine had twins but has since had 3 singular pregnancies and they all started out the same so there's no way to tell if your going to have one or multiple children until you've heard more than one heart beat and/or see more than one fetus. Even then it's not 100% - my buddies aunt was told she was having a baby boy, a week before she delivered they noticed not one boy but two.

First off, congratulations!!

Its probably not multiples, every woman's body reacts differently to pregnancy. Some of us have next to no symptoms, others are miserable the whole 9 months.

Usually women with multiples don't have symptoms sooner, but their symptoms are worse.

I.E. more morning sickness, more fatigue, etc. Also your uterus will be "large for date" when measured. Mothers of twins might also notice fetal movement much sooner.

I get BAD morning sickness very early on but I've never had twins.

Everyone varies so theres no evidence that early symptoms mean your having multiples. If you start getting really big really fast, that could be a sign, otherwise you'll just have to wait until a scan confirms it!

my sister-in-law had two kids... and then LATER was pregnant again.. she had THE WORST morning sickness i ever saw.. she would open car doors and puke...

she had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and found out she had twins.. which is why her early pregnancy symptoms were sooo strong... so

maybe.

Maybe. The more babies you have the higher HCG levels in your body.
