We're ttc, and I DREAD going through another pregnancy with my SIL around. I know women like to discuss their pregnancy experiences, but hers were put downs and criticisms because she was just plain jealous I was pregnant- she is almost 42, has a 12 year old, and her hubby says NO to another, even though she's wanted one for years. it was always- 'Oh, you look like you've put on too much weight so far- how much have you gained? I only gained 20 lbs.' 'Maternity clothes already? I didn't wear them until 6 months along'.

I'm not being overly sensitive, the little witch had the audacity Xmas eve to slap the side of her thigh, point at me and tell me 'You're getting really fat right there'. I told her in a sarcastic voice 'Thanks for noticing'.

A bunch of it later came out as outright lies, like she let it slip a few months ago she put on 40 lbs with her pregnancy- i didn't point it out to her.

I currently work on a temporary contract through an agency. I am aware that ALL employers MUST pay their pregnant staff for time off for ante-natal appointments. My agency are fobbing me off saying I'm not entitled to it as I'm self employed!!! How can I be self employed, they pay me and I have an employee number. I'm sure I'm entitled to it but cannot find out where this information may be. I'm 21 weeks pregnant.

i just have to ask. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 4 months now. No luck yet. The thing is, I ovulated on day 20 of sept. We had sex days 16, 18 and 19 but not on the day I was ovulating. First question... is there a possibility that I can be pregnant? Reason I am asking is cause I am experiencing light cramping, backaches (not constantly) and headaches (at night) since day 22. Second question.... if I am, is it possible to have symtoms that soon after conception? I can't do any test yet cause it is way too soon. I am due in 2 weeks. Meanwhile I am trying to not think about it, but it is very difficult. I hope my head is not playing any tricks on me.

I took four home pregnancy tests last week, and they were all postive. My breasts hurt most of the time, and I felt alittle nausus lastnight after I ate but other than that I have had no sympthoms... I have a doctors appt. in a week and half, but is this normal? (first pregnancy)

my doctor says he will induce me because my baby's movement is slowed and he feels she is now lazy because she is big.i did a non stress test which came out good,but he said he wil induce me.i dont know if its my urine tthat is trickling out or my water cos i m always seeing my pant wet my question is "Is induction of labor painful?

because the prenatal vitamins made you sick?
I am one of them. I couldn't keep those darn prenatal vitamins down, so that's what my doctor suggested. If you read the labels, the Flintstone vitamins have the exact same thing in them as prenatal vitamins, plus more.

to suffer from post partum depression even if your baby past away? I gave birth a little over a week and I was too early and my baby past away after 10 hours. Since then I have been up and down and crying a lot. I know I am dealing with the pain of losing my baby but is it possible that I also have post partum?

Ok is it normal to leak like clear liquid everyday? I don't mean all the time but almost. My underwear do stay wet. And is it ok to wear pantyhose? I hope it is b'cause I did. Is it ok to take a bath? I hope I can I love to take baths.

It took me awhile to realize I was preganat because one i was still getting my period and second i had a really bad stomache flu... So in feb when i didnt get my when i didnt get my period I figured that i was prgnant. And when I went to the doctor they determined my due date was November.... So my husband went ahead and planned this trip with his company he works with.... THen I get my ultra sound and they tell me Im further along then they had thought. Im due october 5th.... And my husband is suppose to leave this Friday and come back the following Monday. Im scared he wont be here and i really need him there. And he should be there. But The company is being stupid now and says that he still needs to go to this work related trip. IS there anyway I can explain this to my doctor and have im induce me.... I know being induced isnt a good option. But I just want him to be there....

I am having my third in November, and attempting a VBAC after one vaginal and one c-section (transverse position)...My doctor believes in having the situation as controlled as possible, blood on hand/surgeons in bldg... As this is her protocal, she basically will induce-stretch my membranes and break my water. She also is the only doctor who can do VBAC's at my hospital, all others will do a c-section automatically. Inductions of any sort seem a bit controversial with VBAC's and I am just wondering for those women that have had a similar protocal followed with a VBAC how it went?

On a scale of 1-10 would you please rate the following pain wise if you went through labor without the assistance of drugs? 10 being the most painful.

1. Contractions
2. Pushing the baby out
3. The episiotomy if you had one
4. Did you tear? If so how painful was that?
5. Soreness after birth

I'd really like to go natural and I'm just trying to get an average on what kind of pain I can expect. Thanks :)

My last period was 50 days ago. My periods arent every 28 days i'd say between 30-35. I have been with my partner for almost a year now and we always have unprotected sex, we are not trying for a baby as such but if I became pregnant we would both be exstatic. I have recently become very tired and have had a few cramps and now i'm also feeling butterflies in my stomach. I haven't taken a test yet as when I thought I was pregnant before (I was 4 days late) I took the test and 20 minutes after doing so I had my period. Can anyone suggest anything or has anyone had any similar symptoms?

My boyfriend is so excited at the idea of being a dad one day i told him when i met him i didnt want children i do want them im just scared to death of being pregnant.
We are not planning on doing this for a good five years yet.
He went on and on at me about it trying to persuade me and i said ok and he was so happy it made me happy to see him happy if that makes sense.
But deep down i know i can't do it im scared of every aspect, getting big knowing once its happened there is no going back!
Id be scared of having a life inside me i know i shouldnt but it freaks me out abit.im scared of labour and what the whole process will do to my body, i am worried he wont fancy me anymore and will think of me as a mum rather than as attractive and id hate that.However i know once it was all over id love the baby its just pregnancy im scared of and now i cant go back because he thinks im happy with it.im also scared of breastfeeding is this normal?if its so natural why am i so agaisnt the idea?

so my husband and i arent trying to get pregnant right now, but if we do, we're ok with it. my question is - we had unprotected sex from the day i ended my period to 5 days before my suspected ovulation and had protected sex until 5 days after my ovulation. itsnot the most reliable method, but like i said, if we're meant to get pregnant, so be it. anyways, my period is due in a few days (about 3-4 days) and for the first time since my son was born, i peed twice during the night. i usually dont get up to go to the bathroom at ALL during the night. its been a while since the beginning of my pregnancy with my son and i forget if peeing more often starts this early or if its just later on. any help would be appreciated! i think its probably just a coincidence.

I"m 12 weeks pregnant according to the size of my baby but I was 16 when I went to the dr now I'm knocked back a whole month my last cycle was may 31st and the came on the 30 every month before may so how am 12 weeks instead of 16 weeks doesnt anyone knows why? I was on birth control for about 4 months and hated every minute of it. I quit taking it about a week ago. My b/f and I had sex on Saturday and he came inside. Since late last night I have been spotting and having some mild cramps. Does anyone know what the bleeding and cramping mean. It didn't start until after we had sex. I am under some mild stress. Could I have gotten pregnant from Saturday, or is my cycle off from the pill and the sex just brought it on. Has anyone had something similar to this? If I could be prego, when would be the best time to take a test to see. Thanks for all your answers. It means a lot to me for your time!

When you are pregnant with a boy you usally lose your appetite almost at the end. Im 8.5 months pregnant with my first child and since saturday I noticed changing in my eating. Im usally eating all day long but now Its like I can hardly eat anything because I feel full. How can this be? Has anyone else exsperienced this with there pregnancy? Thanks for your advice :)
