LOL- I just took mine about 5 min ago! After trying 6 different types of prenatals my doc told me to try the Flintstones but couldn't keep them down during the first trimester either. I just started back on them this weekend and I'm doing fine.
I was taking flintstone vitamins before I was prego though. If you compare the back of the bottle to regular and prenatal vitamins they contain basically the same amounts.
PS- Make sure you bite the heads off first! It's the best way to take them!!!

Well, I was getting sick and my doctor actually told me to stop taking them all together for a couple of weeks. I didn't take the regular prenatal vitamin, I used the One a Day womens formula. It has more folic acid and iron than the prenatals do.

I was always told to take prenatal vitamins. To prevent sickness, it's best to take them with food & a glass of milk before bed. But I have heard that if the mother has trouble with them, than she can take a children's chewable vitamin. Some kind of vitamin is better than none.

I have the same doctor that I had last time.
The 1st time, he made me take prenatals and after I complained of them making me sick, he told me I needed to continue taking them and to try taking them at night, right before bed. (My main problem was I was burping up that iron taste, YUCK. So, taking them at night did help a LOT.)
This time, I asked him if I needed a prescription for prenatals and he told me no and that I could just continue to take my Women's one-a-day. At my last appointment I asked him why the difference and, apparently, the blood tests showed my iron levels to be low the first time but not this time. I guess that's the reason I don't (yet) have to take prenatals. Needless to say, I'm trying to make sure I get enough iron in my foods so that I don't ever have to take them.

Oh yes! I loe Flintstones. The prenatals made me feel horrible but now I feel great!
I realized that what I thought was morning sickness was sickness from the prenatals.

Im going to see my doc about it on tuesday, i went into the store and looked at the ingredients in the flinstones vitamins and i would have to disagree it DOES not have the same stuff as my prenatals, It lacks calcium , folic acid, iron, and beta carotene vitamin A.

I took flintstones with my second pregnancy because the regular ones made me sick. Get all your vitamins without feeling crappy, it's a great deal.
