Not sure how far along I might be, considering I don't menstruate. Please has anyone had this happen, and if so did you carry to full term?

I am due in less than a wk, first pregnancy. The doc said he could come anytime now but what does that mean? Has anyone had the same experience with being 100% effaced? I know this is a difficult question to answer...mother nature will take it's course but any of your advice or knowledge would be helpful. Thanks!

Just out of curiousity... if you don't know your pregnant, and still taking birth control pills, does anything happen to the baby? I heard it can cause a miscarriage, is this true?!

this place is for questions---reguardless if it's about pregnancy or abortion---why do people get so bent out of shape about the "A" word?? I'm a mother of 3 and I have my 4th on the way, Never had an abortion--it's simply not for me--but i'm sure not going to judge anyone that has had or is going to get one. I understand it's a living being with a heart beat---but everyone has there reasons---what's the deal??? just wondering??

My friend's stomach and breasts have increased in size over the last six months and for obvious reasons I am reluctant to ask her if she is pregnant... so I am wondering about a way to ask her that is less direct or if there are any signs i might be able to notice. Her arms, face and legs are perfectly normally sized still and she is continuing to drink and smoke.

The only reason I think it is possible is because there was some type of pregnancy scare four and a half months ago, but she ended up saying she wasn't pregnant. If she was, however, it would not have been possible for her to get an abortion because she is living in a foreign country where only nationals can have abortions.

I had to go to the hospital on Saturday because I was having some preterm contractions (I'm 31 weeks). They got it under control with medication that I have to take 3 times a day, and so far everything seems ok. I am still allowed to work and continue my life as normal. I am dilated to 1 cm and 50% effaced. I just would like some other people's experiences with preterm contractions so that I know possibly what to expect.

Thought I might be pregnant. I am lightheaded, hungry all the time, pee all the time, have gained 6 lbs in one months, I have been running a low grade fever of 99.9, I am tired and moody all the time, and I am 2 days late for my period. My doctor took a preg test. It was negative. She is sending me to have blood work done. Does this sound like pregnancy symptoms or am I overreacting.

My mom is 35 years old and she is 6-8 weeks pregnant. She has real trouble with nausea and vomiting every time she eats, or even when she tries to drink water. The only things she can seem to keep down are bananas. Any suggestions on what she can try?

Also, is there anything she can eat to improve her chances of having a boy? The whole family wants a little boy.

"I am two weeks late for my period. That's not unusual in my case as I normally have irregular cycles. However, I have been experiencing light pink and brownish discharge for the past 3 days. Not very much at a time and it only appears when I wipe. Could this possibly be implantation bleeding? Normally, I would have started by now."

**I am asking this for a friend of mine

I'm 26, have a 5 y.o. and a 7 y.o. I'm divorced and doing alright for myself. I support myself and my kids. I don't depend on my parents or social assistance. I've wanted to have another baby ever since my last baby was born. I've been seeing this new guy for a few months, completely in love, have been talking about moving in together soon. All I can think about is having a baby! He wants a baby also, several actually; but he says now isn't the best time. personally I don't think there is a 'best time' My kids were both unplanned surprises, and I've never had any regrets. I'm so tempted to start flushing my birth control pills. I know that it would be 'wrong'... but people have surprise pregnancies while on the pill all the time. And this guy really does want a baby.

Anyone want to share some food for thought?

I read in a breastfeeding book that if you only breastfeed the baby, it's a natural form of bc. I've never heard of this .....

Just wondering, when did your husbands start going to the OBGYN with you? Was it just when you were going to find out the sex of the baby or when you were going to hear the heartbeat?

I used two home test for pregnancy on my third week, and both prove positive. I know the exact pregnancy time because this is a plan pregnancy. At the end of my 3th week I had a light bleeding discharge for two days, and short pain on the right side below the belly. Today in the morning I had again a light bleeding discharge but no pain. I do not know if that is normal during a pregnancy to have any bleeding discharge. Is not like the period is just a discharge. Without any knowledge of pregnancy I do not know if I should be concerned enough to call my doctor, or even if I'm having a miscariage. Can anyone help me? Also is it normal to have pain on a such a early stage? Thank you, Susana

I am 14.5 weeks and my tailbone is killing me. Sitting anywhere besides our sofa and my car makes it excruciating to get up. Is it too early to have this type of discomfort? My doctor says that its normal because everything is shifting around, but gosh - I have 6 more months to go. Any suggestions?

Is Magnesium Citrate as effective as castor oil in inducing labor? I am 39 weeks pregnant and in horrible pain with my feet and back. I know all about the 'a baby will come when he's ready' opinions, but at this point have reached my breaking point with the back pain and with my feet swelling and barely able to walk on them. A pharmacist told me that between the two, castor oil and magnesium citrate, the magnesium would be more effective. I took a couple tablespoons full 3 hours ago and feel nothing!!
