is it true that dogs can sense a pregnant woman???through the hormones???i asked because my friend boyfriend has a dog and the dog kept sniffing her and jumping up on her and kept laying under her and she said the dog has never done that before i dont know if its ture or not it just something i heard and thought i would ask the world..thanks

Soe pets do seem to notice the hormonal change in a woman. They are very sensitive to these things.

My dog is old and not exactly friendly, but in my third trimester he has suddenly become my best friend. He follows me around, sleeps w/ me and has a constant need for my attention. I think that it's possible that he knows that something is different!!

My dogs all realized when I was pregnant, they would follow me around everywhere, when I didn;t feel good they would stay by my side, if I started to get upset they would try to defend me.

My German Sheppard was just fine my first pregnancy and is acting normal now that i am pregnant again. She just licks my hand when i am feeling sick. Stay away from the cats and especially their poop they carry bacteria that could be harmful to the baby.

It does seem to have an effect. Mine don't really seem different but my cousins dog wouldn't leave her side. Mine are like that anyway so that's probably why I don't notice.

i dont know.
but my co-workers dog, is attached to me at the hip. lol!!!
she follows me around everywhere. its like i have a constant shadow!
she also doesnt jump on me as much as she used to.
