"I am two weeks late for my period. That's not unusual in my case as I normally have irregular cycles. However, I have been experiencing light pink and brownish discharge for the past 3 days. Not very much at a time and it only appears when I wipe. Could this possibly be implantation bleeding? Normally, I would have started by now."

**I am asking this for a friend of mine

No really, I would ask for myself if it were me. This is yahoo answers, who needs to hide?

It could definitely be implantation bleeding.

However, since her periods are irregular it could also be nothing.

If she doesn't get her actual period in a couple weeks, your friend should take a pregnancy test.

Implantation bleeding occurs around a week before your period is due, since then is when the egg implants.

Hmmmm...that's how I was when I had my last cycle. Turns out that's when I concieved, according to the doctor (mid-wife). Did you take a pregnancy test yet? I would give it a little while (maybe 2 weeks) and see if you get your cycle and if you don't, take a pregnancy test. Good luck.

It could be that, or it could be just a weird start to your period. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test.
