I am worried about having a Infection like yeast or a BV infection during PG. I have had one BV infection in my life, and now I am scared I will get one have one during my Pregnancys. I am 21 weeks now and I am scared it will hurt my baby or cause me to have it premature. Has anyone every had a BV infection and the baby was ok?

I had BV numerous times during my pregnancy. It wasn't until the very last one were we concerned bc it weakened my amniotic sack- it was a very, very bad infection. My son was born at the right time as a healthy 8lb 1oz little boy. BV is actually quite common. They will either give you a vaginal insertion gel or a cpl of pills. I found the gel worked quicker so if you have the option take the gel!!! Good Luck!

Well i have had a yeast infection and a UTI that turned into a kidney almost to septis, i have a really high tollerance for pain so i did not know i had any of it. I just waited until i couldnt stand it anymore. I started having slight contractions but other than that your doctor will give you some anti biotics and you will be fine. As long as you get it treated right away you will be fine. Also your doctor should be checking your urine for all of these at every appointment. Dont stress it or the stress will also have more effects on baby.

i had a vaginal infection when i was pregnant my doctor prescribed metrogel. i had a UTI when i delivered my daughter. it can have side effects on the baby it could infect the baby's throat and eyes. i would get rid of the infection before the baby comes i don't think it's worth the risk.

Whatever you've got, you need to get it looked at and have a medicine to take care of it.

Any infection if left untended to will turn into something not so nice for you and your baby.

if you treat an infection in a timely fashion you will be fine, its when you ignore it that it can cause problems.
