all day ive been feeling these pains on and off, it feels like bad trapped wind and then it goes, only to come back again. My mum told me that it isnt contractions because the pains builds up, levels out then goes. Was just wondering if all contractions build up like that. im 38 weeks tomorrow and confused. it isnt trapped wind, but feels similar and doesnt build up, just the sharp pain then its gone.

My co-worker and myself were talking about the recent post of using castor oil to induce labor, she said she thought was bad for the both-baby and mother.

Our question is can castor oil make you lose your baby if taken to early in the pregnancy?

and I really do not fancy that at all as i would like my labour / birth to be as natural as possible. Is it really nessacary to do a sweep when i'll only be one day away from 40 weeks? what are the consequences of having one? Can it slow labour/create problems/ make it more likely to require pain relief like being induced can? I was hoping for a natural waterbirth and know that being induced can cause other problems in the labour, was wondering if a membrane sweep does too. this is my first

dilated to a 1, sent me home. I had Dr's appt this morning he found me at a 2 and said labor could be any day...I'm still having mild contractions. He told me that the baby will be fine and if I go into labor then he will let me go and will not stop it. My question is...how do I make my contractions stronger and is there any way that I can speed up my dilation? I

If you wish to give ignorant answers saying that my baby will be born with problems then don't answer. As I have already stated, the doctor said that she will be fine.

I am 17 weeks pregnant and this is my 2nd pregnancy. I feel like i havent felt the baby move in days. This also happened to me at about 14 weeks where i had initially felt movements and then didnt feel them again. But i later had i went to the doctor and they listened to the heartbeat - baby was fine.

Is it still too early to be counting movements? Am i panicking too much?

If there was somethiing wrong presumably i would be bleeding or something right?

That bc I had an exam yesterday its normal to be bleeding a little bit...but if it gets worse to go to the ER and they will do an ultrasound. I'm still worried...the bleeding is slowing down almost to nothing now and its like a light pink color...I'm so scared!! We want this baby so bad...

I see this a lot on this site and in 'real' life. People like to point the finger at teenagers saying that they were irresponsible and have the majority of unplanned pregnancies---and abortions.

I honestly don't believe that to be the case at all. Of course, teenagers do get pregnant but I can only imagine how many people who are 'adults' are also irresponsible and end up pregnant--in fact I know many but I don't feel there will ever be a percentage because so many adults will not admit it was not planned OR they just get an abortion.

So, why do the majority of unplanned pregnancies get blamed on teenagers? Also, why do people blame the abortion rate on teens when if fact most older women get them?

I finished bleeding from my miscarraige about a month ago and got a depo shot. Now I am having my first period post miscarraige and it is lighter but loooonger than normal.
Please give me your experiences so I know if this is unusual.

Okay I've had syptums pregnat women get!

On 2 seperate oocasions I've gotten sick in the Morning, and then felt compeltely better later on in the afternoon!

I go to the bathroom alot more...
My lower back sometimes hurts...
Certain foods make me feel sick....
I've been haveing strange cravings...
I somtimes get dizzy...
I get emotional alot...

Sounds like I'm pregnat right?

Well heres the catch...
It's impostible for me to BE pregnat!
(I'm a virgin!)

So whats going on with me?????


In feb. 2007 my little Brother died...
Is the stress from his death makeing me have these strange syptums????

Today at my appointment the doctor said I was 1 cm dialated and that my cervix is very ripe. Im 36 weeks. Does this mean labour is close? and is there anything i could do to speed it up?

well i started the spotting on the 11th of may and about two days after i was getting one spot of blood in the mourning and sometimes during the day.but its so light that only need a panty liner.plus i still have some of the symptoms like tender breast,nausa,and tiredness.can someone tell me what this could be.because this has never happened to me i get the tenderness of the breast alot.
