I read that when you go on maternity leave you get statutory maternity pay that is 90% of your weekly salary for the first 6 weeks, then £112.10 per week for the remaining period. Is that right or do you get anything else?

Im going to be 18 on Oct 1st and my fiancee is going to be 22 on Feb 25. We have been together for 2 years now and since we met we knew we were ment for each other. We have always wanted to start a family young, or should I say when I turn 18. My family and his knows we are engaged and so on. Both sides of the family wouldn't press charges if I got pregnant before my 18th birthday. We all already had talked about this. We are both finacially set and we are both attending college. Do you think that state would still press charges if I get pregnant before I turn 18 seeing how I will be 18 in 4 1/2 months? In Wisconsin the age consent law for sex is 18. But seeing I am so close to that age, we have been together for so long, and the family has no problems with it; dp you really think that state with waiste their time pressing charges against him? Please do help, Im not saying it is going to happen but if it were to happen. I just want to be on the safe side of things. Though Im having sex

this sounds like a dumb question, but why is it? I am about 36 weeks and will have to go every week - is it because they want to check you to see if you are in labor, or what?
Has anybody had any case where they went and had any "news" told to them? I am just wondering, why so often. :)

Ok so I've been sleeping with a friend of mine for a few months now. He's a marine, seperated, and has a 5 months old with his ex. He's also a complete ******. Part of his charm :-) Problem is that I just found out I'm preganant. He's the only guy I've been sleeping with, so I know it's his. Any advise as to how I should handle this situation? i am only 15 but i think i might be pregnant! ok so i will explain! me and this lad went out for 3 yrs and about 3 months before we split up we had sex! we both felt we were ready and we used protection but somethin went wrong and it split! My wife is 6 months pregent
Yesterday we went for ultra sound scanning.
If we ask the techniciean about the sex of the bay how will he say the sex?
By the seeing the testicels abd pennins or by checking the X and Y cromozomes.
If the baby positionis not clear to see the male or female organisms how they will identify it
Please let us know in clear.

Can pregnancy tests be wrong? on under certain circumstances. My girlfriend had her period and about 7 days+ we had safe sex(using a condom). She decided to randomly take a pregnancy test 7 days later (two weeks from her period). The urine test showed positive and she doesn't want to have a baby yet. Is it possibly she can be pregnant or the test is just inaccurate. I know 99% of the people recommend take the test after a missing period but in my case it was just random. please reply with your personal experiences, thank you.

My husband and I are pretty good about having protected sex, we have only been married 2 years and aren't ready to have kids yet. Around two weeks ago we had unprotected sex, we really didn't think anything of it he didn't ejaculate in me but hey anything can happen. Basically I am a huge worrier and went to get a pregnancy test just to make sure. Both turned out negative, however I still have not gotten my period yet. I'm not one to keep track of it simply because I'm still young and it tends to be irregular. My question is would those tests be reliable since I took them two weeks after the unprotected sex. Any answers would be of great help thanks!

especially if it DOES happen... then it will look like I don't want what is best for my baby... but I do want him out now!!! right now. Icoulnd't be happier if I went into labour tonight (I had a false labour today). I just want to be done. Should I feel bad about this? It's like I just don't care what is best for me, I want this too END. the baby should be fine anyway at 35 weeks

Hey- I really need some advice i'm getting really worried.

i have quit taking my prenatals because they were making me sick, so i haven't taken them for about a week and i have a dr. appt on thursday so i was going to ask my doc about it on thurs and see if there's an alternative pill to take.

but i can't eat much, i'm not interested in food at all, and when i get hungry and i eat i get tired of eating really fast. so i'm not getting any nutrients into my body from vitamins, or really from anything.

i'm really worried about my baby but i'm doing the best that i can right now as far as feeding myself goes.
all that's appetizing is mashed potatoes.

what can i do? and what does this mean-- could it be a symptom of a bigger problem? it's my first pregnancy so i don't know what to do.

i'm also under a tooonnnnn of stress so i'm even more worried and that might be why i can't eat ???

Hello i was 11 weeks pregnant last thursday and the dr did a ultra sound and she said it was a BOY.. Can that be true? Or is it to early to tell. It was a normal ultra sound. Thanks for the help.
