If two sets of identical twins (one set male and one set female) have children will the children be identical?

sorry not being clear, the children would be cousins, would they be identical as they would have the same genes?

not unless they have identical twins as well.

No, that's like suggesting that two people who have more than 1 child together will just keep having children who are all identical to each other. Each parent contributes 50% of their genes to the child, but not the exact same 50% each time. That allows for all sorts of gene expressions that may have been recessive in the parents, but are expressed in the offspring.

No. The cousins might look similar, but they won't share 100% of their genetic material:

Each child receives about 50% of its genetic material from each parent. Say the female twins are named A and B. Then A's child might have half of A (and B's) genetic material, but B's child might have the oppositve half!

Another easy way of seeing they won't necessarily be identical is that one couple might have a boy and the other might have a girl. Opposite sex pairs are never considered identical.

i think what you are asking is if a set of identicals marry another set of identicals. will there kids come out looking the same? if that is the question they would look as much alike as siblings do and even test to be siblings in a DNA test. but they wouldn't be identical.

no non identical twins run in families, identical twins are just nature.

I think they'd look very similar, but say one could have blue eyes and another with brown eyes. There's the phenotype and genotype when it comes to genetics. Just because you look a certain way doesn't mean you can't have kids that look like polar opposites.

they will have a higher chance of having identical twins but it's not taken for granted they will. They have an equal chance of having one child.

There's a chance they might. But you never know with genetics.
