My job is giving me a real hard time, but i need the insurance. If I want to leave the job sometime after maternity leave, how long do i have to wait so i don't have to repay my insurance?

I don't know if its a state law or if its just up to your employer, but a friend of mine (in Idaho, not NY) had to go back for 30 days to avoid having to repay insurance costs during her leave.

You should be able to ask your human resources department without fear of retaliation. I live in New York and I was told by a coworker (I never asked HR, as I plan on coming back) that I only had to come back for a day and give notice. But you really need to check with someone who definitively knows the answer. Good luck.

You should already be paying with every check. Before you quit call or look up how much Fedilis or CDPHP is or if you can get it for free like Medcaid. Contact Social Security and ask them about it. You shouldn't have to pay anything back though
